Inkbit Tides
5,555 pirate cards. 20 tiers. A real game you can play.
WHERE THEY CAME FROM
Beyond the harbour of Apepixel City the ink runs into the sea, and the sea does not stay still. When the old press ran out of paper, it started printing on whatever the tide brought in: sailcloth, maps, the backs of wanted posters. That is how the Inkbit Tides were born.
Every sheet that came out was a card: a crew member with a cost, a power and a trick up their sleeve. Sailors started trading them in the harbour taverns, then playing with them.
WHO THEY ARE
Eight crews sail the Ink Sea: the Ink Tide Pirates, the Crimson Gull Crew, the Iron Anchor Fleet, the Moonfin Raiders, the Sunken Bell Crew, the Storm Kraken Fleet, the Navy of the Capital, and the Free Sailors who belong to no flag at all.
Captains, first mates, swordsmen, gunners, navigators, cooks, doctors, shipwrights, musicians, brawlers, snipers and lookouts: 444 of them, printed in twenty tiers of rarity and six elements, Flame, Tide, Gale, Stone, Bolt and Shadow. The top five tiers are printed in shimmering foil. Only one card of the very top tier exists: the Sovereign, whose crown is said to calm a storm.
