Inkbit Brokers

7,777 brokers of the Inkbit Exchange. Which rank will you be?

WHERE THEY CAME FROM

As the Kingdom grew, everything it printed started to get a price. Next to the castle, a street that never sleeps grew up around one building: the Inkbit Exchange, on Ink Street.

Inside, giant screens draw candles all day. Green ink when things go up, red ink when they go down.

WHO THEY ARE

The Inkbit Brokers hold the pens. Every one of them is somewhere on the ladder, from Intern to Founder, and you can tell how high they've climbed by what they wear: a T-shirt and a visitor badge at the bottom, a tuxedo, a gold tie and a crown at the top.

On Ink Street, people wear the market on their heads: Bull horns when it goes up, Bear ears when it goes down, a Pig suit for anyone who sold too early, a Whale suit and a spoon for scooping the dip, a Shark fin, and Moth antennae for the newcomers.

WHAT THEY DO

They trade everything the Kingdom has ever printed, on ten desks: Ape, Card, Garage, World, Pet, Zombie, Tribe, Gold, Ink and Night. Lately the Tribe Desk has been very busy with one rumour: Pure Ink.

Three gates are still open, and all of them are free

Nov 3, 2026
Three gates are still open, and all of them are free

The ghost parade on the Haunted Hills has grown to 5,545 of 6,666 ghosts, and joining is now free, ten per wallet, until November 4 at 20:00. Neon City has 2,350 citizens and is also free until November 4 at 11:43. Ink Street has hired 5,630 brokers in its free final round, which closes on November 6 at 11:56.

Elsewhere, the Danger Zone is full: all 3,333 Zombie Punks have shuffled out, into 418 households. The reprint at the old print shop has closed at 167 Apes.

The Exchange has hired 3,914 brokers

The Exchange has hired 3,914 brokers

Hiring at the Inkbit Exchange is past the halfway mark: 3,914 of the 7,777 desks are filled, by 804 different households. Applications close tomorrow, October 31, at 12:00.

On the trading floor the mood is jumpy. The cheapest broker badge on offer is about $0.02, down 40% in a day, and nobody has worked out yet who the Founder is.

Neon City

The lights come on in Neon City

Behind Ink Street, where the Exchange screens never switch off, a new district has lit up: Neon City, a city of rain, chrome and glowing signs. 7,077 citizens are moving in, from hackers and medics to drone pilots and bounty hunters.

2,777 of them hold a rank, from the Corporations up to the High Command of 77, and they are animated: sixty neon effects, and every one of them blinks. The first 1,000 citizens move in free; after that the fee rises to roughly $0.03, $0.06 and $0.09. Three per wallet, ten days, and every rank stays encrypted until the reveal.

All 4,444 Wild Ones have been claimed, a day before the boats were due to stop running. They went to 1,472 different households across the Kingdom, and the trading posts on Ink Street have been busy ever since.

Brokers on the Tribe Desk report a steady queue of buyers since the gates closed: well over a hundred Wild Ones changed hands in the first day, and the cheapest one on offer has nearly doubled in price since yesterday. The busiest buyers came back again and again, picking up three or four tribespeople at a time.

Nobody knows yet who holds the Supreme Chief or the ten Tribe Chiefs. That stays sealed until the reveal.

Ink Street rings the opening bell

The Inkbit Exchange opened its doors at noon today and is hiring 7,777 brokers until October 31. Every new hire is handed a rank, from Intern to Founder, and nobody finds out which until the reveal.

Bull horns, Bear ears and at least one Pig suit were spotted in the queue outside.

A Whale was seen scooping the dip. With a spoon.

A Whale was seen scooping the dip. With a spoon.

Traders on the Tribe Desk report that a broker in a full Whale suit spent the morning buying every red candle in sight, using an actual spoon.

Asked what he was buying, the Whale said only two words: "Pure Ink."

Pig sells too early. Again.

Pig sells too early. Again.

A broker in a pink Pig suit sold everything at the bottom of the chart this morning. The chart went up five minutes later.

"Oink," said the Pig. The Exchange says this happens roughly every day.
