Breaking · The Danger Zone
Quarantine to break on October 30. 3,333 infected inside.
Bad ink spilled in an old print shop. Everyone drawn with it began to rot. The city calls it Inkrot, and the hazard tape won't hold much longer.
THE STORY SO FAR
As reported by Inkbit NewsCHAPTER 01
The night the printer woke up
Apepixel City, New Year's Eve, 1999. A power surge hit a tiny back-alley print shop and woke its old dot-matrix printer, and it began printing apes, pixel by pixel, in thick black ink. By the time the fuse blew, 1,111 sheets lay on the floor. Eleven came out wrong: the Misprints.
CHAPTER 02
The press keeps running
The apes kept the old press alive. It printed cards of the people who worked the shop, the Paper Boy, the Ink Chemist, the Head Printer, and one card nobody could explain: The Misprint. The cards became the Kingdom's tickets to rewards.
CHAPTER 03
A kingdom drawn in ink
From the shop, the ink spread outward. Streets and squares were drawn, and 2,468 citizens moved into the Capital, Inkbit World. The Kingdom had one rule: whatever is drawn here, lives here.
CHAPTER 04
The pets come home
Every home needed a guardian. Cats, dogs, bears, tigers and rabbits were drawn into the Pet District, and the wildest among them, a Golden Dragon, three Royals and nine Wild Legends, refused to stay in their baskets.
CHAPTER 05
The last bottle of bad ink
Deep in the print shop, one bottle had gone bad since that night in 1999. Wrong colour, wrong smell. When it finally spilled, whoever was drawn with it turned green and grey, and their lines began to rot. The city called it Inkrot.
CHAPTER 06
The quarantine breaks
The infected were sealed behind hazard tape at the edge of the map, in a district renamed the Danger Zone. On October 30 the tape gives way. Who walks out, and at what stage of infection, will only be known after the reveal.
CHAPTER 07
Is anyone printing a cure?
Rumours say the old printer has been running again at night. The Ink Chemist hasn't been seen in days. Holders across the Kingdom will be the first to read it here. To be continued.
